Of the order. That is the entire platform fee. There is no setup cost, no monthly subscription, and no charge for having a page. If nobody orders from you, you pay nothing.
The delivery apps most kitchens have tried charge between 20% and 30% per order. On a $600 catering order that is the difference between keeping $585 and keeping $420.
Orders arrive with the event date, the headcount, the address and the time they are needed. There is no second screen to babysit during a lunch rush, no proprietary printer to jam, and no per-item labelling workflow designed for single-serving takeout.
Catering is booked days ahead. The software should reflect that, and most of it does not.
Customers pay by card at checkout. Your share is transferred directly to your bank account, weekly — SwiftCater never holds your money. You can see every order and exactly how each payout was worked out.
SwiftCater was built by a Saskatchewan restaurant operator whose family has run franchise restaurants across North America for close to fifty years. It exists because catering is the highest-margin work most kitchens do least of, and the reason is almost always that taking the orders is a hassle.
